Interests and other achievements

·         Travelled with Research Organisation to Indonesia for a month, travelling between islands and living with locals in rainforest village and Paradise Island, investing help in coral reef ecology and nature research.

o   I learnt a great deal during my time in Indonesia where I had to work as a team, adapt to a new culture and lifestyle, had to organise myself appropriately to work effectively each day; I directly tackled fears which held me back from completing my research workload. 

o   As a team we had to fundraise £3000 each for this trip so I took on the role of team leader and organised administrations, money, negotiated communications between businesses funding us, events management and designing posters and advertisements.

·         Love of learning foreign cultures and languages.

·         Art in leisure time such as: drawing/crafts, designing posters, Photoshop advertisements, creating PowerPoint animation presentations, designing and creating clothing, and style sessions with makeup and photography.

·         Investing time in reading all sorts of books that potentially enhance my creative imagination.



Skills

·         Excel in Microsoft and Adobe programs, and enjoy working hard to overcome and explore any issues to gain better understanding.

·         Proficient in daily Internet and email usage.

·         Essentially have good organisation skills with any task to enable easier and more efficient production.

·         Greatest asset is my skills in drawing and design; I have adapted these to be compatible with computer programs.

Profile/ Career objectives

I am highly motivated and always self evaluative throughout projects; ensuring I work most efficiently. I possess numerous skills and experience in CAD/CAM systems; including transferable skills such as technical drawing and creative illustration/ photography. 

Though this placement I hope to acquire greater commercial awareness and experiencing Industrial practises and the roles taken to maintain survival of a fashion business within a thoroughly competitive industry.

My persistent determination to improve, I feel can be challenged within this wholly unfamiliar environment and that I may further my knowledge in the methods used on an industrial scale both in Design and the manufacture of garments; paying undivided attention to the steps taken to produce professional standards.
